List of Possible Fees

  • File Processing Fee ($25/HR)

The following file types will be subject to processing fees as listed under Accepted File Types. This is a one-time fee applied only during the initial design phase. Repeat orders will not have this fee since design file has already been created.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ACCEPTANCE OF SUBMITTED ARTWORKS..

We are a laser engraving and cutting company, not a maker or design company. We will try our best to help with simple formatting but complex designs requiring too much processing time on our end will be rejected.

MAXIE MARKS ENGRAVING WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYED PROJECT COMPLETIONS DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH SUBMITTED DESIGNS .

Submit files in the following format in order to avoid fees:

    • DXF or DWG – AutoCAD format (This is best for cutting operations.)

    • AI – Adobe Illustrator format (This is good for engraving and cutting. This is our preferred format.)

Conditions for File Processing Fees. Client will be notified beforehand before fees are applied to give the clients the opportunity to resubmit into a more appropriate file.

    • PDF - This file type can be accepted but if it does not translate properly into the laser a processing fee will be added.

    • Image files: PNG, JPG, BMP -Raster files for engraving only. With the exception of photo engraving, submitting raster files for cutting and engraving will incur processing fees. Photo engraving raster files must be a minimum of 500 DPI resolution. We recommend processing your photos through ImagR (https://www.imag-r.com/)

  • CUSTOMER PROVIDED MATERIALS (5 Blank Equivalent)

We have a strong preference providing the raw material for our clients orders instead of letting our clients provide the raw materials. This will enable us to absorb the cost for raw materials necessary for optimizing the settings to provide the best quality of product we can. If the client is okay with using a product we recommend, there will be no sourcing fee added, instead, the cost of the materials will be included in the pricing.

Should we be unable to source the materials ourselves (such as proprietary material designs etc), We require anywhere from a minimum of 1 (one) to 5 (five) blanks [or a sheet material equivalent to 1-5 of the finished product size] to be provided with the order in order for our team to optimize settings and create samples from. Any unused materials will be returned to the client. Used materials from our validation testing can be returned to the client upon request.

  • Expedited Service / Rush Fee (20% of total invoice)

    - Our normal lead time for most orders is 5 to 7 business days from the date of final artwork approval or receipt of raw materials if we do not normally stock them, whichever is later; however this would still depend on the volume of the order and can be significantly greater depending on the situation. Each request will be assessed on a case by case basis and an approval will be obtained from the client prior to providing an invoice. An expedited service fee can (but not always) be offered for an order at the rate of 20% of the total invoice. Please reach out to us for questions.

  • Laser Time Fee ($1.00/minute)

This will be based on the estimate provided by Lightburn (for Fiber Laser Use) or Epilog Job Manager (for CO2 Laser Use). Actual laser times are usually a bit longer but you will only be charged based on the estimate generated by Lightburn or Epilog Job Manager

  • Alignment Fee ($15 per additional quadrant)

    - This fee applies if the requested engrave area is greater than the engrave size we can accommodate. This will more likely apply to fiber laser engravings for engraving area for materials greater than 4” x 4”

    - We charge an alignment fee of $15 for each additional artwork that needs to be aligned.

    - If for example the length of your text [Welcome to our 20th Anniversary] line is 6” on an 8” long material we will split the text into 2 engraves and charge $15 as an alignment fee.

  • Shop Fee ($45)

    - Minimum charge for small or one off orders.

    - If a customer provides the material and the total laser time for the job is less than this amount, a shop fee will be applied. Otherwise, the job will be priced based on the total laser time.

-Shop fee does not apply to orders placed online. Online orders though the store will be charged as shown
